Squeeze Spotlight: Paul Baldwin

Do you recognize this face? No?

Well, we’re here to change that PRONTO, because this is a guy worth knowing.

Today we’re putting the Squeeze Spotlight on Paul Baldwin, Squeeze’s Operations Manager!

How would you describe your job to a bunch of kindergarteners?

I help make things run smoothly. To elaborate further, I help my team leads manage their projects. On the back end, I teach team leads and agents how to lead and strategize and make sure they’re getting the right list dialed. I also make sure we hit or exceed our monthly projects and come up with new ideas to motivate team leads and agents to perform better.

What is your favorite work memory?

There are a couple. One of my favorites was when Carson and I put on our orange Squeeze mascot suits and went around the office hyping people up and jumping around into each other. Last year I also had a dance-off with the lead singer of the band Spazmatics during our company party.

What TV show are you binging right now?

Oof. Let me think. I just completed Stranger Things and now I’m watching The Old Man with Jeff Bridges. It’s very intense.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to make music. I can play guitar, bass, tuba, piano, xylophone, and drums. I also compose electronic music and sing. Back in the day, I had a band called Last Ditch Remedy and we got to tour nationally with some amazing bands. I also play video games and D&D. I love to hike, and go on mini vacations to cool places like Lake Powell.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Honestly? I would say the ability to be telekinetic and also live forever. I love history and it would be amazing to witness the rise and fall of civilizations and experience being a part of different societies over such a long span of time.

What secret talent do you have that would surprise people?

I’m pretty much an open book so I don’t know what would actually surprise people…I don’t know! Jacob! Tell me!

Jacob Thorpe: He has a really hardcore metal scream.

Paul: You’re right. *epic metal scream*

What is your strategy to survive a horror movie?

To make sure the group stays together. It’s important that we all have different types of weapons and a good variety of defensive tactics. Stay out in an open area until the enemy is defeated. I’ve thought about this. I love horror movies. In general, stick together—it’s the only way to survive.

What do you love most about working with the Squeeze team?

It’s got the most unique culture of any business I’ve ever been a part of. It’s familial more than business, from the bottom up. The executives are really invested in creating success for all involved.

Costa Vida or Cafe Rio?

It depends on what it is. Costa Vida for the salads and Cafe Rio for the burritos.
