Do you recognize this face? No?

Well, we’re here to change that PRONTO, because this is a guy worth knowing.

Today we’re putting the Squeeze Spotlight on Chase Kempton, Squeeze’s Director of Human Resources!

How would you describe your job to a bunch of kindergarteners?

I make sure that people are happy working for us.

What is your favorite work memory?

It’s simply the times when employees experience work or even non-work problems and come to me for help. I really love that people trust me enough to come to me with those types of problems and questions.

What TV show are you binging right now?

Resident Evil. I was a huge fan of the video games growing up.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I try to do things with my family, and if I can I squeeze in some basketball. I like to do pickup games at the gym a couple of times a week. Plus I’m in grad school so a lot of my spare time is spent in school.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Funny story: I lost an internship because of this question. I told them “teleportation” and when they asked, “Why?” I sarcastically replied that I would rob banks and they were like “…aaaand that’s the end of this interview.”

What secret talent do you have that would surprise people?

I have an unnatural amount of pop culture and movie trivia in my brain. Trivia games aren’t fun for anyone else anymore because I just crush it.

What is your strategy to survive a horror movie?

I have thought about this a lot. What type of horror? Slasher movies are just dumb. You don’t just fall over running away from Michael Myers. In general, stay in a group. Follow me! I will be your leader. I know how to survive in the mountains and my uncle has a cabin so we’ll just go there.

What do you love most about working with the Squeeze team?

There’s a lot. I’ve worked for some pretty difficult employers in the past. When I first came on the Squeeze team, Carson and Hondo had a level of trust with me that really spoke to me. They gave me the trust to just take something and run with it. And that in turn helped me grow into an even better person for the position. They never spoke down to me or shut me down. It’s been a breath of fresh air.

Costa Vida or Cafe Rio?

Costa Vida. It’s just…better.
