THE SQUEEZE STORY
Our founder, Carson Poppenger, was working in a company generating 10,000 new leads every week. These leads were given to the 500-person sales team to outbound and close. After migrating to Salesforce.com as their CRM, it was apparent the sales reps had hundreds or even thousands of leads assigned to them. There was no way for a sales team to effectively contact, qualify or close so many leads, and they wouldn’t prospect aggressively enough to penetrate the data.
The business was spending millions of dollars a month on new lead data while the uncontacted, unconverted leads collected dust. There was a huge gap between marketing and sales. Each team was overwhelmed with tasks that kept them from their own real jobs of lead generation and closing.
Carson built a process to contact, qualify and convert this legacy data into new sales opportunities.
The result? $20 million in sales year one.
He recognized this as a gap for most large sales operations and started Squeeze to help businesses “squeeze” more from their marketing data and close more sales.
Ten years ago we began working with major clients in mortgage lending. We started partnering with the largest VA mortgage lender in the country, followed shortly after by a few of the largest mortgage advertisers in the industry. Our business in fintech and mortgage lending has continued to grow since that time.
A few years before Squeeze was established, Amy Poppenger had left her job as a senior software developer with one of the largest skincare and nutraceutical companies in the country. In 2015, as their kids were in school full-time, she joined her husband Carson in handling technology and client integrations and brought much-needed operational discipline to the business. Since that time, she has been intimately involved in most aspects of the business’ growth and success while overseeing and owning our sales enablement technology and platforms.
In 2019, Alejandro (Hondo) Vargas joined the company as managing partner and CEO. Hondo brought with him decades of experience scaling BPO and sales operations as large as 2,700 agents.
With decades of c-level experience, Hondo immediately upgraded Squeeze’s financial performance and visibility. We began managing our financial performance hourly, daily, monthly, and annually. In addition, Hondo brought with him a wealth of experience in Healthcare and B2B Technology sales which has enabled Squeeze to establish a stronghold in these markets. This was the beginning of the full iteration of Squeeze, shaping it into what it is today.
In 2020, James Cook arrived as our Chief Operating Officer and expanded our operations capability. James brought with him nearly 20 years of experience managing large call center operations for some of the largest business service and healthcare plans in the country. James had a prior strong working relationship with both Hondo and Carson, as they had worked on many projects together over the previous twenty years.
As Covid overtook the world, Squeeze was in a prime position to seamlessly deliver services to large brands nationwide, which were struggling to support remote employees, and maintain sales productivity. During this period, Squeeze grew 700%. Since that time we have refined our messaging, expanded our team, and increased capabilities immensely, adding large clients in Mortgage Lending, Fintech, Healthcare, Technology, and eCommerce to our list of successful partners.

April 2024 Carson returned to CEO of Squeeze, leading the way into the next phase of company growth.

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is a subset of outsourcing that involves contracting the operations and responsibilities for a particular business process to a third-party service provider.
